*Plays dress-up with his niece.

Hockey
*When Pavel put on skates and went skating for the first time he never fell once. (see he's awesome)

*From the time Pavel arrived in the NHL in the 91/92 season and by the season of 97/98, he played 428 games for Vancouver (254 goals and 224 assists) in the NHL regular championships. He had also played 60 playoff games (34 goals and 32 assists).

*Did you know that Pavel played in the 1988 Quebec Esso Cup for Bantam-aged hockey players ?
Pavel was a member of the winning 1987/88 Soviet Union National Under-17 Team.
*Pavel played in the 1990 World Championship in Switzerland ?
Pavel was a member of the winning Soviet Union National Team.

*He became the first Vancouver Canuck to reach the 50-goal plateau when he slammed home 60 goals during the 1993-94 season. In that same year, Bure led his team to the Stanley Cup finals.

*The Russian Rocket is the 6th fastest player in NHL history to score 100 goals. It took him 154 games.

*He also won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1992 (Rookie of the year).

*He was selected to the All-Star Team in 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997 and 2000.

*He has scored against every team he has played against.

*He is the only player that has been named the Soviet League Rookie of the year (1989) and named the NHL's Rookie of the year (1992).

 

Other:
*His father, Vladimir, was an Olympic swimmer who competed for the Soviet Union in the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. He took home the bronze medal in 1972 (100m), falling short of the gold by half a second.
*Pavel's mother name is Tatyana.

*Pavel's parents are divorced, Vladimir re-married four years ago and has a two year old daughter, Katia.

*Pavel has one brother, Valeri. He also plays in the NHL for the Florida Panthers. He is married to Candace Cameron (D.J from the hit show 'Full House'.
They currently have three children.
